An Assassin’s Revelations: the Convergence of Destinies

An Assassin’s Revelations: the Convergence of Destinies

5 May, 2011

You’ve probably already guessed what this is going to be about, but just in case you missed it, Ubisoft has officially announced that Assassin’s Creed: Revelations is in the works. More details will be revealed at E3 next month, but for now, all we know is that it will be one hell of a ride.

What’s even more surprising is that the title will be released this coming November, just in time to kick-off the holiday rush. Are you excited for this? We hope so.

According to Ubisoft, Revelations will be the last in the trilogy starring our favorite Italian man, Ezio Auditore. “Delivering the final chapter of the Ezio trilogy is an important milestone in the Assassin’s Creed franchise for us and for our fans,” said Alexandre Amancio, the Creative Director at Ubisoft Montreal. “Assassin’s Creed Revelations includes lots of new features and some significant surprises. We can’t wait to show our fans what we have in store at E3 this year.”

The new story will see Ezio leaving Italy for the very first time to see the wonderous Constantinople at its prime during the reign of the Ottomans. Revelations will also expand on the multiplayer features that were introduced in Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood, but right now we’re not sure what exactly does that mean.

Game Informer has also reported that along with Ezio, players will see the return of our first stealthy man, Altaïr. We will finally learn how he, Ezio, and Desmond all fit together in the overall story as well. There will be new weapons, new tools(surprise there, right?), and customization options for multiplayer games. Details are still a little on the fuzzy side, but all eyes must turn towards E3 for the answers to our burning questions.

For now, we shall have to take comforts in knowing that there is still great life yet in this series.
