Giants as tall as the Empire State Building, boulders waiting to crush you, giant winged creatures ready to rip you apart… Sounds like another day at the office for Dark Souls, and Namco Bandai has announced some pretty neat pre-order bonuses for the “spiritual successor” to 2009′s sleeper hit Demon’s Souls.
Here’s the best part of the Collector’s Edition. Pricing will be the same as the standard edition, but there’s going to be nothing standard about all the goodies coming packed with it. According to the pre-ordering page for Dark Souls, you will receive the handy dandy game guide, a hardcover art book, and access to download the full original soundtrack and behind-the-scenes video footage. All of this swag will come neatly packaged in a metal case.
Along with pre-ordering details, Namco Bandai also released 13 new screenshots, the “Prepare to Die” trailer, and launched the official English site.
Check out the darkness and prepare to face your toughest trials yet:
Dark Souls is set to be released sometime this coming October for both the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.
