Soul Calibur V Reveal: Trailer & First Details Emerge

12 May, 2011

At Namco’s LevelUp event on Tuesday, the veil finally lifted over the next installment in the acclaimed Soul Calibur series, and boy does it look tasty.

Set to drop sometime next year on both the Xbox 360 and the Playstation 3, SCV is set 17 years after the events of Soul Calibur IV. Details are scarce, but from what we do know, there’s a big focus on a new main character – Sophitia’s son, Patroklos. There’s also the welcome return of the create-a-character tool, as well as the promise of sharper controls, returning favourites and a surprise character yet to be announced.

For the latest information and sketches from the development stage, head over to Daishi Odashima’s Twitter, or stick with us here at GGS for the news as it happens.
