Admittedly, it’s a little late for an Easter-themed frolic, but that’s not deterred indie iPhone game developer Hot Head Games from revamping their debut title, Bunny The Zombie Slayer.
Scaling the charts in the first week of its original release, Bunny returns to the App Store with more than just eggs in his basket, this time. (Ooh-err…)
The original premise remains much the same: Play as a ‘heroic, but slightly unstable’ pink rabbit that protects children from a deluge of undead, who are, for all intents and purposes, intent on raining on the kiddies’ parades. And, as you’re an Easter Bunny, you battle against the swathes of zombies by lamping the blighters about the head with brightly-coloured eggs, naturally.
However, this new version builds on the existing playability to include: Game Center support with leaderboards for each mode, Native Retina Display support and automatic detection for device orientation.
In addition to these in-game improvements, the gameplay has now been extended to offer players the choice of three different game modes:
- Classic: how many waves of zombies can you defeat with your hardboiled hand-grenades?
- 28 Waves Later: Put your skills to the test with even more hordes of zombies and no special eggs to bail you out.
- Time Attack: Kill as many zombies as possible in 2 minutes—aim for the head for bonus time and high scores.
Still not convinced? I dare you not to be swayed by gruesome cuteness of the official trailer…
Bunny the Zombie Slayer is available to play on iDevices and can be purchased from the App Store now, for $0.99/£0.59.
