Mass Effect 2 interactive comic now available for 360

17 May, 2011

The interactive Mass Effect 2 comic known as ‘Genesis’, originally released exclusively for the Playstation 3 version of the game in order to fill in the holes for players unfamiliar with the original game, as well as giving them some of the benefits of choice elements of the series, has been released for download on the Xbox 360.

The comic created by ‘Dark Horse’, equates roughly to 15 minutes of storytelling allowing players who have not played Mass Effect 1 to partake in making some of the key choices from the game in order to shape their Mass Effect 2 experience, ranging from chosing a love interest to deciding the fates of key characters.

The release was flagged by Eurogamer reader Ian Healy, and is listed on the Xbox Marketplace for 320 Microsoft Points. Information on the Xbox version of the Genesis comic can be viewed over the Xbox Live website.

Fans were left feeling disappointed last week when it was announced that the long-awaited conclusion to the blockbuster franchise, Mass Effect 3, was to be delayed until the first 3-4 months of 2012 following an anticipated Christmas release.

Mass Effect 2 is available for Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC.
