Rockstar Games Announces DLC Plans for L.A. Noire

Rockstar recently announced their plans for upcoming downloadable content for L.A Noire. Rockstar plans on releasing several standalone cases, collectibles and challenges which will be available on Playstation Network and Xbox Live. Sam Houser, founder of Rockstar Games, had this to say:

“With its blend of real crime influences and noir atmosphere, L.A. Noire contains boundless potential for new stories and new cases. The four new cases are strong standalone stories that sit perfectly alongside the main game.”

From today players will be able to purchase the ‘L.A. Noire Rockstar Pass’. This will give players access to all the upcoming DLC as it is released. The pass will be available, for a limited time, for $10.00 on PSN and 800 Microsoft Points on Xbox Live. After the discount period the DLC will cost $12.00/960 Microsoft Points. The seven pieces of downloadable content which will become available include four unique cases, two detective suits and a collectible challenge.

The first DLC to be released will be The Badge Pursuit Challenge and Sharpshooter/Broderick detective suits. “The Naked City” Vice detective case and “A slip of the Tongue” Traffic case also launch today.

As a token of thanks to fans, members of the Rockstar Social Club will also receive a free download of the Chicago Lightning Detective Suit. In addition, Rockstar will unlock the Chicago Piano machine gun for free to all players via the PlayStation Network and Xbox LIVE. Both are available now. Registration to join the Social Club is free of charge and can be accessed at socialclub.rockstargames.com.
