E3 2011: Journey Through Albion with the Kinect

6 Jun, 2011

The Darkness. The end of Albion. It’s coming. When we were introduced to this malevolent force in Fable III, it seemed sudden. It seemed short.

Now, it’s time to conquer it.

With the announcement of Fable: The Journey at Microsoft’s E3 Conference earlier today, we were given the first glimpse at Lionhead’s foray into the world of Kinect. What was shown was unique.

What we understand so far is that you will be driving a horse carriage using Kinect’s motion sensibilities. The story, as we know it, is not Hero-centric as past Fable titles have been. Instead, you are now trying to help Theresa, the Seer of the Spire, stop The Darkness and perhaps attempt to save Albion.

But will you ultimately succeed? Here’s our first peek at the world of Albion, after the Age of Heroes.

A little on the scary dark side? Of course it is. As Theresa said, “The end of Albion is coming.” And how will you save it? From a carriage and with a lot of magic, it seems. Check out the latest slew of screens from Fable: The Journey.

Will you be ready to save Albion once more? The title is due out next year for the Xbox 360.
