As it turns out, not everybody thought the idea of Call of Duty: Elite was a little on the insane side. Rather, 2 million people thought it was a great idea!
Activision’s social media manager Dan Amrich today updated his blog with news that 2 million people have signed up to beta test Call of Duty: Elite in just two weeks.
While 2 million may seem like a lot, Dan argues that it’s actually a small fish in a huge pond (30 million people are registered Call of Duty players). With your support of Call of Duty: Elite, it will apparently really shape the way Elite is formed in the future.
The beta for Elite goes live July 14th so there is still time to register. The service you’re registering with right now is free; however Activision will be implementing a paid service as well. This service will more than likely correlate with Modern Warfare 3 and will be approximately $8 per month.
Stay tuned for more Elite business!
