Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment are teasing the Tolkien fans amongst us even more this week, with the release of a behind-the-scenes look at some of the more illustrious allies you’ll encounter in the game. Fans of Middle Earth will instantly welcome the appearances of Radagast, brown wizard of the Istari, as well as the sons of Elrond and Beleram of the Giant Eagles. The developers behind the project, Snowblind Studios, have been making video games almost as long as I’ve been alive, and with titles such as the mighty Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance and Everquest-based Champions series under their belt, there is little doubt that these guys will make War In The North every inch the blockbuster it was born to be. Armed with a three player online co-operative campaign, multiple customisation options and a more mature approach to Middle Earth, War In The North extends upon the acclaimed works of Tolkien and the respected film adaptations in the most faithful manner possible.

Lord of the Rings: War In The North is slated for an August 24th release, and will be available for the Xbox 360, the Playstation 3 and for Windows.
