We’ve been given images of the character of Robin for the upcoming sequel to Batman: Arkham Asylum. As you may remember, it had been earlier believed that Robin would only be available for customers preordering the game from Best Buy, however this appears to not be the case. A Rocksteady rep recently explained that Robin will be available for everyone (though presumably in DLC) for challenge mode, but that people could “Pre-order with selected retailers to gain exclusive early access!
Emphasis on early access.
Regardless, the Robin we’re seeing is a far cry from the character we’re used to. Rather than going for Dick Grayson’s Robin, they’ve instead opted for the Tim Drake version. This had led to the darker Robin you see in the images. Considering the style of the game, this choice makes sense.
Though it looks like he’s not playable in single player, he will hopefully make enough appearances to be memorable.
