Avast ye! EA Announce First Adventure Pack for The Sims Medieval

We all saw it coming; EA have today released some details regarding the first ‘Adventure Pack’ for The Sims Medieval. Developed by The Sims Studio, The Sims Medieval: Pirates and Nobles for will be released sometime in August 2011 – we’ll let you know when we get word of an exact date.

Although similar to The Sims 3 Expansion Packs, the Adventure Packs are set to be a bit different: they will bring additional content to The Sims Medieval, but will be cheaper than the Expansion Packs. As you would expect, the amount of content will vary accordingly in line with price.

So, what can we expect from the first Adventure Pack outing? EA says it will introduce new Quests, treasure hunting and hundreds of new objects. The Pirates of Aarbyville and the Nobles of Tredony will be new arrivals in your Kingdom, to be followed quickly by sword fights, love affairs, grand adventures and mysteries, treasure hunting to uncover hidden objects, and new Quests to help your Kingdom achieve a new Ambition.

If decorating is more your thing, you will be able to stylize your Kingdom and Sims with new pirate and nobility themed objects and wardrobe.

Breakdown of features in full:
• A New Kingdom Ambition – Can you end the war between Tredony and Aarbyville?
• New Quests that follow an epic story arc
• New Signature Objects – The Interrogation Chair and pet falcons and parrots
• New Traits a new Legendary Trait
• Over 140 Pirate and Nobility themed objects
• New pirate and noble outfits and hats
• Treasure Hunting, complete with maps, shovels, rare treasure and some surprising dangers

“This first adventure pack to The Sims Medieval gives players more freedom to play as they want, which is the earmark of the Sims brand,” said Scott Evans, General Manager of The Sims Studio. “For our players that want more guided gameplay, they will find new quests and one new Kingdom Ambition, and for those who prefer the sandbox world of The Sims, they will find more time to explore life in the Middle Ages.”
