Atlus’ extremely odd (and very challenging) action-puzzler game Catherine will be dropping in just a few weeks, and the demo just landed on Xbox Live today. If you’re not sure what to make of this bizarre title, you’re not the only one. The only thing we really know for sure is that it has a lot of platforming action and…well, NSFW scenarios.
You play as Vincent, a man who is very much stuck in between a rock and a hard place, so to speak. In a nightmare world where choices could literally mean life or death, you better be ready to commit. Vincent’s long-time girlfriend Katherine wants to move on, but Vincent gets some really cold feet – and ends up tangled in the sheets with a mysterious blonde bombshell. Her name’s Catherine. Who would have thought?
It’s a smorgasborg of psycho-operatic rock music, horror, and a dating sim. Are you going to make amends to Katherine to save a relationship of many years, or are you going to run off with the new girl on the block? The choice is yours in Catherine. Atlus has said that the Xbox Live demo is currently online, and the PlayStation Network demo will go live very shortly.
