Batman: Arkham City’s Talia al Ghul Voiced by Stana Katic

Yesterday at Comic-Con, Warner Bros. Interactive and DC Entertainment confirmed that Batman: Arkham City character Talia al Ghul will be voiced by Stana Katic, who plays Kate Beckett, female lead, in ABC’s Castle. Katic notes in the Warner Bros. press release the complexities of this character, and how amazed she was by the detail put into the project.

Katic sure has it right: neither entirely good nor evil, and with romantic links to Batman himself, Talia al Ghul is complex to boot. Named #42 on IGN’s Top 100 Comic Book Villains of All Time, we certainly look forward to seeing how this interesting character plays out in the game.

Batman: Arkham City is a follow up to the 2009 award-winning Batman: Arkham Asylum. The in-game world is to be five times larger than it was in Batman: Arkham Asylum, and the city will act as the new maximum security corral for Gotham’s insane and ingenious lowlifes. The game is scheduled for release on October 21, 2011 on Xbox 360, Windows PC and PlayStation 3.
