Ignition Entertainment was originally going toe-to-toe with Atlus in releasing El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron, but they have since gracefully bowed out and have moved their crazy disco-light action packed game until the middle of August in the U.S.
That doesn’t stop them from mercilessly teasing us though. Today a new trailer has surfaced, giving us a little more of a glimpse into the premise behind this fascinating game. Helmed by Sawaki Takeyasu of Devil May Cry fame, this game promises to have more than just a little fun. Maybe we’ll get to see some pretty stylish action in the final product?

Metatron ascends on August 16th in the States and September 9th in Europe on Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. The demo for El Shaddai is currently available on both PlayStation Network and Xbox Live.
