Beach parties are a great time with bikinis, drinks with tiny umbrellas, cabanas, and bats with nails in them. We’re talking about having a beach party with Dead Island, and you’re invited along for a couple of drinks and plenty of beach-side fun.
It’s only fun if you like bashing in zombie heads though. In the latest batch of screens released by Deep Silver today, we’re getting down and dirty with the denizens of Banoi. We get a glimpse of some of the melee weapons that will be getting some air time, including a vicious hook, the obligatory nail bat, and a nasty looking sledge hammer. Get ready to wade through water, sand, blood, and guts with these latest screens:
And if you haven’t heard, you can get even more fun out of this title by pre-ordering the game. Deep Silver announced at the beginning of June that part of the pre-ordering incentive include a new gameplay mode entitled “Bloodbath.” Characters are given a chance to complete challenges in four different arenas, and can carry over experience points and loot earned into the main campaign. Oh yeah, and there’s also a sweet weapon called the Brain Wave Bomb to top off the package.
Don’t worry non pre-ordering folk, the Bloodbath DLC will be made available for download after the game’s launch for 800 Microsoft Points, but pricing is still yet to be determined on the PlayStation Network.
