Borderlands 2 Officially Announced

Today, the official Borderlands 2 website went live, formally announcing the game. According to the site, the sequel to 2009′s sleeper hit is in development for 360, PS3 and PC. There is no release date set yet, but the game will be coming out sometime during Take-Two’s 2013 fiscal year which starts April 1, 2012.

The Role-Playing-Shooter will take gamers back to planet Pandora but have plenty of variety as 2K and Gearbox are giving us all new guns, characters, skills, enemies, environments and equipment. There are four DLC expansion packs scheduled and the game will have single player and co-op modes. Those of you heading to Gamescom and those lucky enough to snatch up a badge to PAX will get first looks at the game.
