Grasshopper Manufacture and Digital Reality Goes Old School with Sine Mora

3 Aug, 2011

Suda 51 is best known for his crazy ideas like No More Heroes and Shadows of the Damned. Well, his latest doesn’t look like it’ll be that crazy. In fact, it’s a serious throwback to the days of 1943 and, dare we say it, Gradius. Bet you didn’t see that one coming, did you?

Earlier today the first trailer for Sine Mora, a “diesel-punk shoot ‘em up,” emerged. The first in the series of collaborations between Grasshopper Manufacture and Hungarian studio Digital Reality, the trailer gives us a glimpse of how Sine Mora takes things to a new level for side-scrolling shooters. It’s going to be an Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network title, and if the heavy techno Einhander-esque beats are anything to go by, we know that Akira Yamaoka (y’know, that one guy who did Silent Hill and Shadows?) is getting set to wow us again with his musical chops.

Take a look:

Sine Mora is set to fly into action this coming winter for both Xbox Live and PlayStation Network.
