Well, Atlus certainly wasn’t lying when they said that their crazy game of love Catherine opened up to some massive sales during its first week in the U.S. Rather than release a press statement or something of the ordinary kind, you have to give the publishing company some credit for going about it in a different way.
Much like Catherine‘s oddity, Atlus decided to tell fans of their success in an equally unconventional way: baked goods. They tweeted the photo of a cake to tell of their success. See? They weren’t lying after all.
“Congratulations in the first week. 200,000 sold,” is what that cake says. No official numbers or sales figures have been released yet, but that cake clearly says it all. Atlus hopes that its summer release will continue to see huge success in the weeks to come. Don’t worry Europe, Deep Silver is working on publishing it for your enjoyment.
