It’s a wildly imaginative game, and From Dust has proven that different is not bad. The god-game that has players taking care of a tribe of nomads has utterly broken Ubisoft’s day one digital download sales records.
No official numbers have been posted yet, but Ubisoft has reported that since the Xbox Live Arcade title went live on July 27th, From Dust has sold more than any other Ubisoft digital release on the first day. Sales figures were about 45 percent higher than its previous XBLA release, but Ubisoft did not say what game that was exactly.
According to the announcement, Ubisoft has said that pre-orders for the PC version of From Dust are “tracking very well.” PlayStation owners, worry not, as Ubisoft confirmed a PlayStation Network release is in the works. It “will be available very soon.”
