Skyrim Collector’s Edition Priced & Detailed

Skyrim Collector’s Edition Priced & Detailed

6 Aug, 2011

Bethesda have always produced highly collectible editions of their releases. Oblivion had an example of Tamriel’s currency. Fallout 3 had one of the Vault Boy bobble heads. Fallout New Vegas even had poker chips and example playing cards from one of the casinos in the world you occupied.

This time though, they’ve gone above and beyond the call of duty. The CE for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim isn’t cheap – priced at a staggering £129.99, it requires a small bank loan to afford – but what it does include is attention to detail and collectible memorabilia in spades. The Collector’s Edition package includes:

* A copy of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Almost a surprise.
* “The Making of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim” DVD, containing interviews, footage and a general insight into the conception, development and production of the game. It also covers more of the lore within the Elder Scrolls series.
* “The Art of Skyrim” Official Art Book. Only available with this edition, this 200-odd page behemoth contains photos and illustrations of nearly every aspect of the game.
* 12″ Alduin, The World Eater Statue. Cast in top-grade PVC and created using 3D renders used in the development of the game, it showcases one of the key dragons in Skyrim.

Pre-orders are available in various outlets as of now. Roll on November 11th.
