Dark Souls is Delayed, but Only in Japan

8 Aug, 2011

Don’t let those words strike fear into your heart. If you’re crazy like us and go searching for challenges, then don’t let this delay deter you. It’s only for a week, afterall. Originally scheduled to release in Japan on September 15th, From Software is now confirming that Dark Souls will be setting out on September 22nd in Japan.

See? Not that painful. The anticipated spiritual successor to the cult hit Demon’s Souls is promising to be bigger, better, and more difficult. How else would you try to upstage a predecessor that was pretty hard to conquer?

With Dark Souls slated for release on October 4th in the United States and October 7th in Europe, no word has come out yet on whether or not we’ll see similar delays in these regions. An extra 7 days isn’t all that bad, at least not in anticipation of perfection.

…right?
