Examining the World of Bodycount

Examining the World of Bodycount

8 Aug, 2011

Codemasters has released a new video documentary for their upcoming FPS title, Bodycount, with the focus being on the world that you will explore while unleashing a torrent of bullets upon your enemy.  The developers made a choice to not take the standard route of FPS coloring with shades of brown, instead, opting to use the full color wheel to decorate the landscapes.  The idea was to create a theme behind the colors, starting with Africa, which is featured in hues of yellow, while moving into the Asian areas will paint the areas in cool shades of blue under a moonlight sky.

It is not as if they are doing anything that is tantamount to rocket science, but it does break away from the standardized mold that we are use to finding in a shooter, which normally has things in that aforementioned brown and white color palette.  While talking up the world, they did not forget to mention that you are in a host of environments where everyone is considered hostile, so you never have any fears over busting a cap into an innocent civilian.  The innocents have long left these war torn areas, and you are free to wreck mayhem and destruction on anything or anyone that is moving.

Check out the new documentary for Bodycount below.  Bodycount is set for a Fall 2011 release on Xbox 360 and PS3 from Codemasters.
