In the beautiful state of Washington, tucked away in the northwestern corner of the United States, a small picket line formed. Well, okay it wasn’t really a line. It was more like a gathering of fans, two incredibly dedicated fans, who hailed all the way from northern neighbors Canada. Their mission: get Valve to release Half-Life 3.
Earlier today in Bellevue, otherwise known as Valve-Microsoft-Bungie Land, these two fans arrived at the front lawn of Valve Software’s downtown office and set up shop with their signs. “Canada 4 the Release of Half-life 3″ read one sign. “Half-life 3…is it Left 4 Dead?” read the other. Valve co-founder Gabe Newell reportedly stepped outside to meet with the two fans and also bought them lunch.
You might wonder just how the camera man got on the scene for the photo op. In the most organic of all scenarios, Jason Sussman of Bungie happened by and snapped this photo of the picketers and Mr. Newell.
Only in Bellevue will you ever have someone from Bungie taking the photo of someone from Valve talking to picketers for Half-Life. Would you go to such lengths for a game?
