Square Enix has been a bit quiet as of late on Final Fantasy XIII-2, but today, we did get a new batch of screenshots that center around our two main protagonists, Serah Farron and Noel Kreiss, as well as the always lovable Moogle.
Final Fantasy XIII-2, without spoiling too much, takes place about five years after the events that unfolded at the end of Final Fantasy XIII, and has the two main characters searching for answers to those same events. Final Fantasy XIII-2 also hopes to appease longtime fans of the series with several subtle tweaks to the gameplay mechanics.
Check out the new screens below. Final Fantasy XIII-2 is set for a Holiday 2011 release on both Xbox 360 and PS3 from Square Enix.

So they change Serah’s cute girly clothes to dominatrix streetwalker gear. Thanks Squenix. We can always count on you to cater to the lowest common denominator.
It also seems as if they want to capitalize on the look of Vanille without having her in the game, as I thought it was Vanille at first (did not finish FF XIII yet, but I know of the ending).
I just wish Square would come up with some wholesale new character designs rather than sticking with the prototypical model that permeates all of their JRPG titles.
