Resident basketball guru at 2K Sports, Ronnie 2K sent out a new developer insights column to the press that talks about the new features that will be coming in the next basketball installment from 2K Sports, NBA 2K12. The biggest issue for them seems to be how you handle following up on the biggest basketball legend of all time, Michael Jordan. Well, it is easier than you think – just add more classic basketball legends, as well as more of the classic games to be played.
Over on the Facebook page for NBA 2K12, they have been compiling votes on 10 players that fans would like to see added to the list of classic legends. The results include such former players as Shaquille O’Neal, Wilt Chamberlain, Charles Barkley, Reggie Miller and Hakeem Olajuwon to name a few. And that is on top of Jordan returning with Larry Bird and Earvin “Magic” Johnson, Kareem Abdul Jabbar and Julius “Dr. J” Erving.
Now, 2K Sports is looking for fan input including more players that they might have forgotten to include, as well as memorable games that some of these legends were involved in. To voice your input, head over to the NBA 2K12 Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/questions/10150751257930305/#!/NBA2K) and let your choices be heard.
NBA 2K12 is set for release on October 5th, 2011 on most major consoles, portables and PC from 2K Sports.
