Warner Brothers Interactive Entertainment announced today that it would support full 3D across a wide range of televisions and computer monitors in Batman: Arkham City. For those that have shelled out the cheddar for a 3D HDMI compliant television, you will be able to get full, stereoscopic 3D visuals. If you do not have a 3D TV, but you still have an HDMI connected console, you can use anaglyphic 3D with any supported glasses to still get high quality 3D images.
Computer owners also get some love, as Batman: Arkham City will support NVIDIA 3D Vision technology and glasses for a full 3D experience in front of your computer monitor.
While all of this is lovely and all, I would rather have development teams working on features that would support all gamers, rather than supporting a niche environment at best. 3D is neat, but its consumer interest is waning, judging by 3D movie ticket sales and 3D television sales. But I guess for that small audience that wants this, you can enjoy the beautiful Catwoman in complete 3D.
