Sony Sets the Tone for the Holidays With a PS3 Price Cut

Sony Sets the Tone for the Holidays With a PS3 Price Cut

16 Aug, 2011

Sony has decided to set the tone for this holiday season, as they have announced a $50/€50 price cut on both it’s 160GB PS3 and 320GB PS3 systems. You can now pick up a 160GB PS3 system for $249.99/€249.99 and a 320GB PS3 for $299.99/€299.99.

So the question is whether this is enough of a price cut to make a difference in the holiday season for those that do not own a PS3, and does this force Microsoft to also follow suit with a price cut on the Xbox 360 going into Holiday 2011? One thing is for certain that this definitely changes the dynamic for console sales this Fall and beyond.
