This upcoming release season is going to be populated by games that are jockeying for the position of “biggest, baddest, most epic dragon fights ever.” Dark Souls shouldn’t be left off that list either, as the latest trailer out of FromSoftware’s notoriously difficult upcoming game made its appearance at Gamescom.
We catch a glimpse of several dragons, one of which features the standard-fare dragon of big webby wings and horns, but another features an open rib cage that’s ready to impale you. There’s going to be fire aplenty, as we also see several victims…er, players, be roasted alive.
With more armor, giant axes, skeleton warriors, and ogres than you can possibly shake a wizard’s staff at, we’ll never come to a shortage of ways to die in Dark Souls. Check out the trailer:
