While we may not get to see a basketball season in 2011/12, we still have NBA 2K12 coming to fill that void if it comes to it, and to up the ante on last year’s entry, we now have the full list of classic players that will be included in this year’s release. The list is a who’s who of basketball legends going back at least 40 years to get some of these classic players.
But it is not just the players coming into the game, but everything about them. Their specific looks, including classic knee high socks, short shorts, old school kicks and even the presentation of color television vs. black and white TV have been capture for a full sense of authenticity in the eras that they played in.
So who were the players that made the list? Look no further than right below this line. Those with an asterisk next to their name means they had already been announced.

We also have some captures for each of the players, and note Bill Russell being depicted in black and white, as that was the era that he played in, before color broadcasts were the norm. Signature styles and more have been capture for each of these players.
It was also announced that gamers that pre-order NBA 2K12 will get access to two extra classic teams – the 1990-91 Golden State Warriors and the 2001-02 Sacramento Kings and that offer is for the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game only.
