Keep Your Friends Close and Your Flashlight Even Closer; Silent Hill: Downpour Gets Creepy

21 Aug, 2011

Given all the clinical talk about horror and what it should really mean, Silent Hill: Downpour is looking to give the creepy life that the series so richly deserves (and needs).

Coming out of Gamescom is a whole new slew of screens, showcasing the eerie environments that will be populating Silent Hill this time ’round. It looks like it’s going to be everything from the interiors of a dilapidated chapel or perhaps an old penitentiary, to burnt down office buildings and administration halls with paper strewn about. Murphy Pendleton is going to have one hell of a time picking his way through the complex little town.

If you’re scared of the dark or even claustrophobic, then maybe you’ll have a hard time in Downpour. Check out the latest screens:

Silent Hill: Downpour is set to drown our sorrows this coming October on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
