Get ready for giant chocobos, zombies, augmentations, and crazy martial arts, because Square-Enix has just announced their big lineup for PAX Prime. Fans of the Japanese development powerhouse known for their Final Fantasy titles are going to have their fair share of fan service with this lineup, and Square-Enix isn’t skimping on the community love either.
First up, it’s Dead Island. Attendees will get a peek at the upcoming zombie-fest at a vacation resort that went straight to hell and then some. Developed by Deep Silver, Square Enix will be publishing the title in the United States.
Next up, it’s Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Slated to release tomorrow (or perhaps you already have it, you lucky sons of guns) on August 23rd, the sci-fi shooting RPG that forces you to stop and think will be on display for fans who want to get their hands on it, but are still on the fence. Or in the case of some of us, we’re just saving up for it at a later date.
We’ll also see the likes of Final Fantasy XIII-2, Heroes of Ruin, and WAKFU. Attendees also get to take part in an all weekend “Word to Your Moogle” tour at Square-Enix’s booth to promote Final Fantasy XIII-2, where fans get a couple of chances to win some pretty neat swag. If you’re just in Seattle to enjoy the sights and sounds, the publisher will be holding a Deus Ex launch party Friday night from 7pm – 10pm at the Diller Room bar. Food, drinks, and gigantic screen demos will be abound.
Going to PAX? Go on and have fun camping out at the big booths. Not going to be there? Not a problem, because GGS will be giving you a front row seat to all the gaming news you can possibly handle in one weekend.
