Filmmaker and YouTube user dantrachtenberg1 has directed and uploaded Portal: No Escape, a marvelous short fan film based on Valve’s Portal series. In less than twenty-four hours the film has gotten well over 1,200,000 views.
The film tells the story of a woman (presumably Chell, the silent protagonist of the game) who wakes up in the Aperture Science Enrichment Center with no memory of how she arrived. It plays back her time in confinement, her discovery of the portal gun and her inevitable reaction. It plays off an angle intensely more dramatic than the games, which are often cleverly humorous thanks to characters like GLaDOS, Wheatley, ATLAS and P-body.
This video sucked me in so much it made me want to immediately fire up Portal for the umpteenth time and help this ass-kicker out. Any fan of the game absolutely needs to watch it:

That was awesome!! The effects were superb and all I want now is for them to develop it into a full length movie!!
