Okay, so Final Fantasy XIII was not the most liked title in the world by its fanbase, but it sold well so Square Enix is taking another shot at it with Final Fantasy XIII-2. Now set five years after the events of Final Fantasy XIII, we get to meet some new characters, a redefined combat system and we may even find out why Lightning has feathers coming off of her.

I hate to say this, but I suffered from second hand embarrassment when I watched this in person.
Why the embarassment. Was it over the fact that you did not like FF XIII, or something else. I want to like this, but it seems like they are doing their best to make every character look like someone from FF XIII. Serah looks an awful lot like Vanille. And some of the new characters in the trailer have a lot of similarities as well.
I would like to hope this comes at a reduced price, but something tells me that will not happen.
It was so…so very…it was very “Japanese,” so to speak. The outrageous floppy hair, the “I’m trying to be cool” thing. Like they were trying too hard. I just felt embarrassed for the characters themselves. :(
