There are always a few titles at E3 that fly under the radar, but make an impression on people. One of those games for me this year was The War of the Worlds. Coming from Other Ocean, it takes the story of The War of the Worlds, but sets it closer to the book than either of the movies that bear the same name. It also uses hand drawn, rotoscoped animation, similar to the styles used in Flashback and Out of this World. Adding in the ever regal sounding Patrick Stewart as narrator and you have what could be a gem of a little game.
Check out the latest developer diary for The War of the Worlds below. No platforms have been announced as of yet, but I would not be surprised to see it on XBLA and PSN at a minimum.
