When Activision picked up the license for NASCAR last year, it came to market wtih the first title from the license, NASCAR The Game 2011, and it was a decent first entry into the series. While it had its issues it did straddle the line nicely between true sim and arcade style racing.
Now Activision is coming back to the license, although this time, they are having a little more fun with the title, as NASCAR Unleashed will have you racing on and off several premier tracks on the NASCAR circuit. Yes, you read that right, you are no longer leashed into racing left hand turns for 200 laps, instead taking to the streets, beaches and all other sorts of environments normally not encountered in a NASCAR race car.
NASCAR Unleased is definitely more geared around arcade racing, but it will feature prominent racers from the sport, including Jeff Gordon, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Kyle Busch and more. We have several screens from NASCAR Unleashed below to give you a taste of the more laid back racing featured in the game.
NASCAR Unleashed is coming to Xbox 360, PS3, Wii and 3DS this fall from Activision.
