Persona already has quite a bit of a cult following, and no game can complete its status to cult-dom without its share of crazy spin-off. ATLUS and Arc System recently announced a Persona 4 themed fighting game, and since then it’s been a whirlwind of screenshots and trailers.
The debut trailer for Persona 4: The Ultimate in Mayonaka Arena delivers the punches. It’s like watching the most over-the-top anime beat itself inside out with a generous helping of “What the F***?” There’s plenty of flashing lights, Personas, swords, kicks, and punches to make Street Fighter green with absolute envy.

The trailer lists 2012 as a possible release date for The Ultimate in Mayonaka Arena, but it’s not confirmed whether this title will be released outside of Japan.
