“A strange and fanciful tale” doesn’t even begin to cover just how oddly weird (and delightfully so) this game is turning out to be. Sure to capture old school gamers’ hearts, Black Knight Sword is the story of a black knight who is fighting the world, one crazy minion at a time, to save it from the most unlikeliest of all villains.
This isn’t your typical fairy tale, because you’re not going to save a princess from a tower. Instead, you’re running into battle against a cruel princess who’s trapped the knight in this nightmare. The only way out is to kill her. Or so we believe.
Sounds crazy enough? We are talking about a Grasshopper Manufacture game, so don’t expect anything normal. What you should expect is an homage to Metroid from the 2D platforming sequences to high-octane Castlevania-esque fighting with monsters that will fill up the entire screen. There’s even a Clock tower too.
