Something must be in the water this time of year, as a lot of hits from last year are getting their Game of the Year boxed sets on. First it was Red Dead Redemption and now we have Civilization V getting a spiffy Game of the Year treatment.
Civilization V Game of the Year Edition will collect all the DLC packs that have come out, the digital soundtrack and more. You can get all of this new content for the same $49.99 price that the game originally released at last year.
So now, we just have to listen to the whine of the Internet for all of those that just bought this game on Steam for $10 in the latest Weekend deal to complain that they would have waiting for this version to come out instead.
Civilization V Game of the Year is exclusively available for PC and will hit digital and retail shelves on September 27th, 2011 from Firaxis Games and 2K Games.
