Rock Band 3 Weekly Update – The Nirvanatastic Edition

When I received the weekly update for Rock Band 3 DLC, I kind of got a laugh. Harmonix wanted to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Nirvana’s breakout album, “Nevermind” The problem is that the entire album is already available in Rock Band 3, so they decided to celebrate in two ways. The first was to add pro-guitar and pro-bass for all the tracks from the Nevermind album. Secondly, they added four tracks from Nirvana.

The first three tracks, “Heart-Shaped Box”, “Rape Me” and “All Apologies” come from Nirvana’s 1993 album, “In Utero”, while the fourth track is the last known recorded track from the band in 1994, entitled, “You Know Your Right”. “Heart-Shaped Box” is also available with pro-guitar and pro-bass tracks for an extra fee.

The Celebrating Nirvana Pack can be had for 700 Wii Points, 560 MS Points or $6.99 depending on your platform, or can be purchased separately for 200 Wii Points, 160 MS Points or $1.99, again depending on platform.

When not writing news and reviews for GGS Gamer, or hosting the truly terrible You Like the Worst Stuff podcast, I am actively seeking an on-call arch-nemesis.
