Riot Games has announced that the latest major update to League of Legends, titled “League of Legends: Dominion” is now available and ready to play! The past week has seen a few beta periods at random times during the day, but apparently, the time has come to unleash Dominion on the masses.
Riot Games calls this, “the largest and most ambitious update to League of Legends since its launch in October of 2009.” League of Legends: Dominion features a new capture point game type, and a new map, “Crystal Scar.” Riot Games has said that they expect games to take around 20-30 minutes, which is a bit shorter than a standard game of LoL can take, and if Dominion catches on, may actually help LoL be even more viable as an eSports title.
