I Am Alive is Still Happening and Apparently Coming This Winter

Okay, so big surprise of the day probably goes to the announcement that I Am Alive is still, well, alive, and is coming out this Winter. Even more bizzare than this title coming out of the woodwork after hearing nothing on it for over a year is the fact that it is now an Xbox Live Arcade and PSN title.

I Am Alive plays out in a world after an “Event” has happened. Yes, not exactly much more to go on than an “Event”, but it has left the world in ruins, with wrecked buildings everywhere and no real amenties to speak of in this new reality. Now our hero is trying to search the world to locate his wife and daughter while surviving the new harsh reality of this post-apocalyptic world. The main mechanic surrounding I Am Alive seems to be the idea of indimidation, where you can use your wits to scare someone out of a confrontation. With some, you will get them to back down with a threat, whereas others will call your bluff leaving you no option but to fight your way out of a jam.

So yes, I am completely blown away that this game is still a thing and that it is finally coming out. I need to thank Mr. Caffiene from this year’s Ubisoft press conference at E3 for completely leaving out this juicy nugget of information.
