Console owners will finally get their chance to see the beginning of the Crysis franchise today, as the original Crysis is now available on PSN and the Games on Demand marketplace for Xbox 360.
From everything that I have heard up to this point, it has been said that this version of Crysis is running very smooth on the consoles, and of course, comes with trophies and achievement support for those that center their gaming around that functionality.
Crysis takes you to an island near North Korea, where strange events have resulted in a Special Ops team being deployed to find the source of these disturbances. Using new nanotech suits, the Spec Ops team finds far more than they expect.
Sadly, this new release does not include the multiplayer, Crysis Wars component, so you might want to skip this if that was what you were looking for. Crysis is $19.99 on both the PSN and Games on Demand service from Electronic Arts and Crytek.
