Don’t panic, because you’re not the only one that might have been hit by a recent glitch that have sent COGs scrambling for answers. In a massive issue that’s causing an all-hands-on-deck scenario for Epic Games, the bug will freeze consoles and seems to affect splitscreen co-op on Horde 2.0.
No fix has been issued as of yet, but a “Super Moderator” on Epic’s official forums by the name of Rykard is currently asking for information to further help the dev team find a solution to the issue. Among the questions asked are whether players are playing splitscreen, whether it’s with two different profiles or one profile and a guest, and which game modes players were playing.
Your best bet to avoid getting a console freeze is to hold off on local splitscreen co-op until a fix has been issued. If you have experienced the glitch, head over to the official forum thread to report your problems.
Hopefully Epic will fix the issue before long.
