So did anyone else here know there was a new Men in Black film coming out in the Spring of 2012? I sure has hell didn’t, not that it matters much as I was completely burned on the second movie in the series. Well, as with most movie properties nowadays, it was announced today that Activision will be publishing a game to accompany the movie release in 2012 for current consoles. Well, technically they say next generation consoles, but didn’t the next generation start five years ago?
Semantics aside, the Men in Black game will not be directly tied to the events in the film, instead having its own independent story. Familiar faces from the movies, both heroes and villains will appear along with a new cast of characters to give the game a comfort zone for fans of the series.
No word on whether Tommy Lee Jones or Will Smith’s characters will be the main protagonists or if you will play other named agents working with the main characters, but the game is set up quite nicely for co-op play either way.
