There’s been a commotion going on at Turn 10′s official forums, and it’s not the good kind of commotion. The developer for the recently released Forza 4 are beginning an investigation into what some players are calling “unfair banning” from the Xbox Live service.
Turn 10 has yet to say why a select group of players have been banned, but fans said that Microsoft may be putting the hammer to those who pay real money in exchange for in-game credits, which are used to buy cars from the Forza 4 auction house.
Whether it’s related to piracy or not is not known, but Turn 10 Community manager Brian Ekberg said that the developer was still in the process of investigating the issue. “We are investigating claims from a select group of Forza 4 players who believe they have been unfairly banned from Xbox Live,” he said in a forum post at Turn 10. “We take piracy issues very seriously and will be investigating this matter case by case. If we find accounts that have been banned in error, we will reinstate them.”
