Battlefield 3 is looking to turn heads when it releases next week, and the numbers DICE have for the open beta say that it’s going to turn a lot of heads.
According to the numbers posted on Battlefield 3‘s official blog, more than 8 million users played the beta. “That’s enough people to fill the entire city of New York!” said DICE.
Other astronomical numbers include 4.7 billion shots fired, which DICE said, “If you could travel one light year for each of those bullets, you’d reach the edge of the known universe.”
And of course the most fun statistic of all, there were 1.5 billion kills. “That’s equal to 1/2 the litres of beer consumed across the world in 2011,” said DICE.
