Kinect and Controller, Steel Battalion Mixes Them Together Like a Peanut Butter Cup

Kinect and Controller, Steel Battalion Mixes Them Together Like a Peanut Butter Cup

For some time now, heads have been scratched about how this new Steel Battalion game from Capcom would work with Kinect and an Xbox 360 Controller. Now, we have a new trailer that breaks it down in pretty simple terms. When you are in the cockpit of your walking tank, everything inside will be controlled via the Kinect device. You can see the hands moving about the cockpit, manipulating all the different controls to move the mech. However, when you take up the sights of the big gun, or the mounted machine gun turret, the control scheme switches over to the controller for more precise aiming and firing on targets.

You can check out the trailer below to see how all of this works together in theory, but how do you feel about this combined approach to Kinect and controller. I for one at least feel I will have a chance to control Steel Battalion, but part of me wishes they had found a way to make it all Kinect controlled.
