Art is one of those things that is judged by the eye of the beholder. For some, art comes from the sharp lines and shapes of a Picaso drawing. For others, Magritte and his Faceless Bowler are magnificent works. 2K Games and Digital Extremes have their own form of art, and it surrounds the concept of turning execution into art.
Yes, this new trailer for The Darkness II is not for the squemish as we witness Jackie Estacado and his power, The Darkness, killing things in all sorts of gruesome ways. Try these names on for size – The Wishbone, the Split, the Spear, Spinal Readjustment and of course, the Rear Entry Removal. No, those are not official names for execution moves, but it was the first thing that came to mind while I watched. Viewer Advisory indeed.
The Darkness II comes on February 27th, 2012 from 2K Games and Digital Extremes for PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.
