Android Tablets Now Sold at Select GameStop Locations

Gamers might be a little surprised, as one of the biggest game retailers in the States, GameStop, kick started plans to sell “Gamestop certified gaming platform” Android tablets.

According to the Wall Street Journal, the tablets in question have been manufactured by Asustek, Acer, and Samsung. Each tablet includes seven titles, including EA’s Dead Space and Madden NFL. To top things off, each tablet includes access to GameStop’s own online game store Kongregate Arcade, and also to the Android Market.

GameStop has been making plans to expand beyond traditional games in a box, and put these plans into motion starting last month when it announced that it would begin accepting iOS devices as a trade-in for store credit only.
