Remember those pesky Borgia towers of Brotherhood? Zones of influence were never that much fun, but in Revelations, Ezio will get his chance to turn the tides. In the latest feature video, we’re given a glimpse of “Den Defense,” a feature that involves you fortifying and defending an assassin den against an onslaught of Templars.
Much like the Borgia Towers, assassin dens exert zones of influence over neighboring areas. Thus, the importance in keeping them in shape. Besides, killing harassing Templars raises morale.
Den Defense looks like Tower Defense, with players making decisions on where to place barricades, where to place their defending troops, and hope that the invading Templars will get their armored a$$es handed back to them on a platter. It may be a nice getaway from all the wall climbing, leaps of faith, and assassination, but we’re hoping it doesn’t become the main feature of Assassin’s Creed: Revelations.
